Players are the hunt; staff are the household. Hiring takes minutes, not days — the game is in keeping people, growing them, and paying them wisely.
The five basics
- Assistant Manager — advice, suggested XI, runs your match plans (you start with a free one).
- Head Coach — without one, training runs at 70%.
- Physio — without one, injuries last 20% longer.
- Scout — without one the market is blind: no reads, you buy on faith.
- Youth Coach — the academy grows slower and reads become guesses.
Beyond the basics sit specialists (attacking / defensive / fitness / GK coaches, team doctor, psychologist, a Mentor hired only from retired greats) and pure luxury (set-piece coach, club ambassador, groundskeeper). Price is the only gate — no levels, no locks. Every effect has diminishing returns, so money can’t buy dominance.
The stadium
You start with 3,000 seats. Ticket pricing is yours ($5–60): cheap tickets fill the ground, greed empties it, and derby heat packs it. Expansion runs in real construction time up to 30,000 seats. Attendance feeds atmosphere, atmosphere feeds home advantage — and the referee feels the crowd too.
Identity
Name (English, unique country-wide), colors, crest, kit, stadium name — your club looks like nobody else’s. Retired legends can return as staff candidates: the kid your academy raised in season one might be your coach in season twelve. That is the long game.
