Draft night: your first squad

18 rounds, pick one of three, no rerolls. How your club is born — and what you start with.

When your club is created you draft its first squad from a personal pool of 54 generated players: 18 rounds, each offering 3 players, pick exactly one. No rerolls, refresh-safe — the pressure is the point.

Round order

  • Rounds 1–2: goalkeepers
  • Rounds 3–5: defenders
  • Rounds 6–9: midfielders
  • Rounds 10–11: forwards
  • Rounds 12–18: anyone you want

The one-time window

Draft cards show a handful of position-key attributes, age, TPI, one visible personality trait — and exact potential bars. This is the ONLY time the game ever shows you raw potential. From tomorrow you develop players on belief and evidence: minutes, flashes of brilliance, and your coach’s read.

What you start with

  • $1.5M cash at creation, plus $3.5M in board grants unlocked by nine getting-started milestones (set a lineup, hire a coach, scout a player, attend your first match…).
  • A 3,000-seat stadium, ready for expansion later.
  • A free ★ Assistant Manager who narrates the milestones and suggests an XI.
  • 100 welcome coins and a welcome thread in the Newbies forum.

There is no hard squad cap — but an oversized squad breeds unhappiness on the bench. Around 22 players, the morale diary starts telling you so.
